Family man Elias Karo takes four journalist hostage at their newspaper’s headquarters, in a desperate attempt to get them to reveal the wrongdoing wreaked on his family during the 90's recession.

Commissioner Antti Hautalehto is faced with a complicated case when young men start drowning in the small Finnish town of Borg. Almost every week a new body is found in the river, and soon Hautalehto has reason to distrust his own police colleagues.

Helsinki in the summer is shown differently through the eyes of the homicide unit detectives, Timo Harjunpää and Onerva Nykänen; painting a picture of the city where people are not safe in the streets or not even in their own homes. In the midst of the hard crimes it is impossible not to feel the constant worry about your own family while being afraid of losing touch with your children.

Follows Riku who decides to infiltrate a rich young elite in order to rob them, suddenly he falls in love with an heiress and starts to enjoy his new lifestyle. However, his old friends, and creditors, want to see money and results.

Jed (19) walks out on his former life, without destination, without explanation, and gets on a train.
