Biography
Luka Padiurashvili is a filmmaker and a researcher from Tbilisi, Georgia. He began his studies in Film and TV directing at Tbilisi State University in 2017 but later shifted his focus and graduated from the Faculty of Cultural Studies. Over the years, he has been involved in various art and film projects, working as a first assistant director on Night Duty Doctor (2018) and as a set decorator’s assistant on Number 26 (2020). Alongside these roles, Luka has independently directed several low-budget short films across different genres, including documentary, docufiction, and experimental cinema. He has a Master’s degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology at TSU, as his one of main interest lies in visual anthropology and ethnofiction cinema as a way to explore the intersections of memory, magic, ritual practices, and everyday life.
