Biography
Marlea Guevarra is a student filmmaker from Pampanga, currently residing in Quezon City. She is in her second year of the Bachelor of Arts in Film program at the University of the Philippines. Prior to entering film school, she explored storytelling through writing and editing as both a hobby and a role in various class projects. Since her freshman year, she has actively participated in her fellow students' short film productions across different departments. While her strengths mostly lies in post-production work, particularly as an editor and colorist, she believes that developing a working knowledge on all aspects of filmmaking is essential to strengthening your chosen specialization. Beyond production, her involvement in the film organization UP Cinema has further honed her skills in logistical and financial work. She is also a founding member of the film collective Tomboy Federation, composed of both film and non-film student filmmakers alike.
