Biography
Dave Brown is chief meteorologist emeritus for WMC Action News 5. Brown joined WMC Action News 5 as chief meteorologist in May 1977. Prior to coming to WMC, he was with WHBQ-Radio & TV, Memphis for 13 years. His career began at hometown radio stations while still in high school in Trenton, Tennessee. On June 30, 2012, Dave's celebrated a broadcast career of fifty years. Dave is a certified broadcast meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society and proudly holds the Seal of Approval of the National Weather Association. For 35 years, Dave was host of the immensely popular Wrestling program on WHBQ-TV and WMC-TV, 25 of those years with his legendary partner, Lance Russell. On May 30, 1997, Dave's daughter, Stefanie Brown Kuehl, his 6-month old granddaughter, Zadie, and his unborn grandson, Thomas, were struck and killed by a drunk driver. Since that time, Dave has delivered the message against drunk driving in over 275 speeches to civic clubs, schools, churches, and community events in four states. Dave is a member of MADD and supports their nationwide efforts. Dave Brown retired in 2015 after an incredible 53-year career, 38 of which was with WMC Action News 5. Dave and his wife Margaret have two other daughters, and four other grandchildren.

All Elite Wrestling: Collision

Jerry Jarrett's Continental Wrestling Assocation (CWA) Wrestling show on WMC-TV, later renamed to "Championship Wrestling Association" and keeping the same CWA name around the time Jerry Lawler joined Jerry Jarrett in running the show. After Jarrett and Lawler purchased the rights to World Class Wrestling Association's "World Class Championship Wrestling" shows in the Dallas area, both the Dallas shows and the CWA show were rebranded under the "United States Wrestling Association" name. This show was rebranded to "USWA Championship Wrestling." The show ended in 1997.
