Andras Kovacs' film, considered one of the most important Hungarian films of the 1960s, centers around four men who await trial for their involvement in the massacre of several thousand Jewish and Serbian people of Novi Sad in 1942. Each denies any responsibility, claiming that they were only following orders. The film is significant for its willingness to address the subject of Hungary's role in WWII, which was taboo at the time of the its release.

While the dead writer is being laid to rest in a national funeral, he emerges from the coffin and walks into his own grave while the mourners flee in terror.

Kálmán Imre's beloved operetta comes to the screen in this comedy of music, marriage and class set in Budapest and Vienna before the outbreak of the First World War, recorded at the Budapest Opera in 1963.

Winter of 1944, the last days of the war. Blondie and Árpi love each other very much. She is a hairdresser, he is a confectioner. Blondie's parents are divorced and she lives with her grandmother. Árpi loves her parents, but has long been angry with her brother-in-law, whom she knows to be keeping a mistress. Pista turns the parents against Árpi, and after a quarrel, the boy decides to leave home. Then he has an even better idea: marry Blondie. She is just as much of a hebrensch, so she insists on marriage. It's summer, and the Árpi's move to their summer cottage on the top of the hill. But they are unprepared for independence, and so they have a series of conflicts. They quarrel badly, and Blondie moves back home. To Arpi's surprise, her father persuades her to make up with him. Blondie sulks at first, but her lover overcomes her resentment. They try again, together.

Sándor is loved by his wife, but they cannot have children. He is already tired of his marriage.

In this caricature-like film an old film director offers his memories of his career to his former student, now a studio manager, as an idea for a new film. We can see the director in Berlin in the twenties, where his task is to make a film star of Hungarian origin cry out of homesickness.

The film constructs a strongly conventionalised and symbolic world out of the diary fragments of a man who underwent an alcohol detoxification treatment. The protagonist of this unusual family story, Petunia Joe, lives in a house with his mother and grandfather. One day, he suddenly turns adult. Out in LIFE, he takes his first steps in the Factory. Meaningless work is performed and barren relationships are formed among the rusted walls.
