Michele dall'Ongaro

In 2021, the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia marked a new beginning following the closures caused by the health emergency, with a packed programme of concerts and events, often described as a moment of ‘opening’ and hope, and sometimes referred to as the ‘Overture’.

“A timeless hero: Robin Hood” is a musical commissioned by the Petruzzelli Theater in Bari and staged in 2023. Designed for a wide audience, including children and young people, it combines elements of musical theater and opera, recounting the adventures of Robin Hood with music by Michele dall'Ongaro and libretto by Vincenzo De Vico.
