In 1948, in the fragile post‑war countryside of socialist Yugoslavia, Marjeta gives birth to twins, Metod and Cilka. Withdrawn and volatile, Metod grows up in near isolation, shaped by a suffocating bond with his mother and a world marked by violence and repression. His impulsive behavior brings him into repeated conflict with society and the law, eventually leading to psychiatric treatment. After returning home and taking a job as a warehouseman, he appears outwardly stable, but inwardly deteriorates under the weight of alcohol, hallucinations, and relentless inner turmoil — until one night, the monster he has long concealed finally emerges.

Peter is in his early forties and until recently he worked in a factory, but after Slovenia's integration into the European Union, the factory closed down and Peter and his colleagues have been made redundant. Slowly but surely, he is losing self-confidence and self-esteem.

Armin has been unemployed for a long time, and in desperately need of a job. His wife Jasmina is pregnant, and his son Edin has behavioral problems at school.

Every summer, four best friends spend a few days in the mountains in a remote place in Slovenia. But their friendship was shattered years ago by an event at a party. When their neighbour Stipe suggests renting their son’s room to tourists, Marko feels insulted but Ankica manages to talk him into it. Renting rooms is easy money, especially for retired people, but having an unknown man sleeping in his son’s bed troubles Marko.

In Varja Mocnik's documentary, members of former Yugoslav rock band Buldozer, their friends and fans reminisce about the time of the release of the band's debut album Pljuni istini u oci (1975). Their accounts interlace with fictitious scenes, the record artwork, archive material and animation, to ultimately come together into an inventive, surrealist film that speaks not just of the legendary album, but also of the society and reality of the time.

Boris Petkovič explores in great detail the evolution of a music style which, from the very start, has intimately reflected the social situation of its artists. Hip hop has always absorbed the "vibes" of the place where it is taking root, and Slovenia is no exception. According to Petkovič, in today's Slovenia, rap is the one and only form of music that discusses the state of our society and of human relationships without any inhibitions. Some battles are won with humour. Niko and his family are returning home in their camper van after a relaxing holiday, but their joy quickly turns to panic when they realise they can't flush a toilet cassette full of faeces.
