Bhaskar (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) and Vasanti (B. Saroja Devi) are college mates who clash when she complains to the college principal about a love letter he sent her. Later on realizing her mistake, Vasanti apologizes to him and the two fall in love. Vasanti's elder sister, Geeta (Krishna Kumari), supports the family by stitching clothes.Bhaskar rents the room upstairs in their house. He falls ill and in nursing him, Geeta falls in love with him. She confides her love to Vasanti, who decides to sacrifice her love for her the sake of her sister and convinces Bhaskar to marry Geeta. Bhaskar initially neglects Geeta. On finding out, Vasanti writes to him that their sacrifice, made for Geeta's happiness, would mean nothing unless he is a good husband to Geeta. Bhaskar relents and Geeta and he have a son. Vasanti joins them and Geeta suspects that there is something on between Bhaskar and Vasanti and makes Vasanti leave the house.

The diwan of Vasanthapuri grows tyrannical and makes a deal with the Portuguese so that he can become the new king and marry the princess, who is in love with Bharath.

Bharat (Rajendra Kumar) is a patriotic young man for whom patritism does not stop anywhere. He comes to know of the tyrancy of the present ruler's Diwan (Ajit) and he and his colleagues (Soodesh Kumar, Rajendra Nath) rebel. They kidnap Princess Chitralekha (Waheeda Rehman) unknowingly, and call her Jwala. Meanwhile, Bharat's dad (Balraj Sahni) who is the Inspector General, does not approve of Bharat's rebellious nature and decides to arrest him on sight. Bharat's mom (Kamini Kaushal) is torn between the love for her husband and her son. Bharat determination against the Diwan is so strong that he decides to bomb-blast a railway train transporting the Diwan, knowingly that his own dad is also travelling on that train. Will Bharat break his mom's heart by killing his dad and the Diwan? Good acting scores by the entire caste make this movie worth watching. Lyrics by Indivar.

Dil-E-Nadaan (The Innocent Heart) is an Indian Hindi film directed by C.V. Sridhar, released in 1982. The film stars Rajesh Khanna in the main lead role as Anand and Shatrughan Sinha as his friend, as the second lead character of the film.[1] This film was remake of the 1978 Tamil film Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu, directed by C.V. Sridhar, where Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth played the lead male roles. After the success of the Tamil version, C.V. Sridhar decided to remake it in Hindi and directed it himself.

Mohana Punnagai is a 1981 Indian Tamil film, directed by C. V. Sridhar and produced by R. P. Sarathy. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan as lead actor with Geetha (Sri Lanka actress), Jayabharathi, Padmapriya, Anuradha and Anandhi as lead actresses. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan.

Dr. Ravi returns from abroad and takes up position as Chief Surgeon in a hospital. He then meets with Nurse Shanti, who lives an impoverished lifestyle with her ailing mother, and decides to perform surgery, but she passes away, and a guilt-ridden Ravi marries Shanti much to the chagrin of his mentor, Kaka, who had hoped that he would marry his daughter, Rajni. The couple then travel to Kashmir for their honey-moon, and then settle down to a harmonious relationship. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, R. Muthuraman and V. Gopalakrishnan in lead roles. The film had musical score by M. S. Viswanathan. C. V. Rajendran who is the brother of C. V. Sridhar, worked as an associate director for this film.

The film was launched by C. V. Sridhar in 1980 as a Cinemascope venture and was then titled as Sakthi. Sridhar collaborated with Kamal Haasan after the success of the 1978 film Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu, which had also featured Rajinikanth. The film was meant to be the first film which featured Kamal Haasan and Ambika as a lead pair and stills were released featuring Ambika in a swimsuit. The film got delayed and was put on the back burner, before it re-emerged in 1986 under the title of Meendum Suryodayam and shooting progressed. It was planned for an April 1986 release, which got postponed to May 1 of 1986. There was a local authority election in March 1986 and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won seats. Kalai Kovil (Temple of Art) is a 1964 Indian Tamil-language film, directed by C. V. Sridhar and produced by Visu and Ganga. The film stars S. V. Subbaiah, Chandrakantha, R. Muthuraman and Rajasree in lead roles. The film had musical score by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy. The film was released on 25 September 1964.

In the middle of the 80s, in Madras. The film is a social drama, with its plot around university professor Dr. Kumar (Ashok Kumar), who lives with his wife Padma (Bhanumati), his drunkard son Jyoti (Raaj Kumar), outgoing daughter Chitra (Tanuja) and his friend's daughter Rekha (Mala Sinha). Dr. Kumar and his wife have a different outlook towards life, with him preferring books and philosophy, while his wife Padma prefers social gatherings and society clubs.
