Sukanya (born July 8, 1969) is a South Indian actress, singer, music composer, Bharatanatyam danseuse and voice actor. She has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu movies, totaling over 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She has composed two devotional albums namely Azhagu, Thirupathi Thirukudai Thiruvizha. She has won five Best Actress Filmfare awards for her performance in Tamil films including Puthu Nellu Puthu Nathu, Walter Vetrivel and Rajarajan.

It completed a 150 day run on theaters and became one of the highest grossing films for Sathyaraj during 90's in terms of revenue.
