Love Keeps Going is a 2011 Taiwanese drama starring Cyndi Wang, Mike He and Eli Shih. It is based on Taiwanese novel, Wang's Love Song. It was first broadcast in Taiwan on free-to-air China Television from 5 June 2011, every Sunday at 22:00 to 23:30 and on cable TV Gala Television Variety Show/CH 28 on 11 June 2011, every Sunday at 21:00 to 22:30. The premiere episode on CTV achieved an average rating of 1.84.
The Qiaotou youth LI Wen-hsin was arrested during the December 10, 1979, demonstration spearheaded by Formosa Magazine. After being thrown into prison, he learned a way to survive: mixing saltwater with white rice. He also recalled wonderful times with his girlfriend A-chun, the joys and suffering he shared with friends and family, and his longing for democracy. In this prison, referred to by inmates as the “Hotel Saltwater,” Wen-hsin and his companions, though suffering greatly, never let their thirst for freedom be extinguished.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Rock Records in Taiwan, the music label put together an unprecedented concert in the history of Taiwan music, supported by more than 60 performing units. The show toured through Asia and many cities in the Mainland, and finally drew its curtains in Taipei Arena in November 2011. This is a four-part anthology comedy. The themes of four parts are: car, house, body and friendship. The central characters are a plastic surgeon Chen, a nurse, an experienced maid, three energetic teenagers and a young couple. The stingy surgeon Chen treats a car and a man so differently that he could be a perfect example to show how treasonously modern people treat their cars and how indifferently they treat other people. The maid Ying is like a knight on her "iron horse" (a bicycle), fighting in the city. Every day she rushes home after work to wait up for a husband never returns. The new nurse has problem with her colleague because they support different idle. What she also doesn't know is the reason why her brother's girlfriend sends her free lunchbox so often. The truth is that her brother's girlfriend wants to get plastic surgery in the clinic. Almost everyone here is not satisfied with his/her body. Moreover, they try to change their body with quite violent ways.
Bong-tshio is your ordinary countryside grandma, raising four kids in an impoverished environment; however, the kids that grew up and started their own families do not respect her, fostering her in turns for one month, while bargaining with each other about the number of days in different months. But the optimistic Bong-tshio always just laughed it off. Until one day, she got lost and wandered into a police station, and then accidentally won the top prize of the lottery. Her children began to look for her desperately, rushing back to their old place in the countryside, and kicked off a ridiculous competition of filial piety.
The day Liao was discharged from prison with his maimed right hand was also the day Nan was forced to retire. Nan will no longer be the head of CIB, just as Liao will no longer be a pickpocket.
