The siblings Emilia and Finn arrive in front of their parents house after Emilia’s move. While Finn gets out of the car, Emilia remains seated. She will not enter this house not now, and not ever again. Emilia wants to cut off contact with her parents. Finn wants her to simply come inside. A struggle between togetherness and independence begins.

An old television report takes us to Kuppeby. There, sisters Sanna and Yva Kopmann have taken over their parents' place for the traditional red pear harvest. They talk about the peculiarities of the plant and the special features of the annual harvest.
