Shortly before the presidential election in a European state, Michel Dedieu stepped in at the last minute to replace his party's candidate, who was forced to withdraw due to a rapidly spreading cancer. Eventually, he locks her in an abandoned flat and helps her get off the junk cold-turkey. It is a terrible scene, but he succeeds and the two begin a new kind of relationship.
