Anyone can hold a mini-DV camera. Anyone can get 99 euros in credit. And everyone has already written a five-minute story in school. So everyone is actually prepared to make a 99euro-film. but "99euro-films" is more. It is the proof that German films can also be wild, new, modern, funny, political and entertaining. And all that in 80 minutes. 12 young German filmmakers come together, inspire exciting young actors and go: have an idea and simply film it. Just do it and be independent.

The wild West Berlin of the 1980s became the creative melting pot of pop subcultures: music, art and chaos. Before the Iron Curtain fell, anything and everything seemed possible.

"Little Paris" is the nickname given to Luna's hometown in provincial Baden Württemberg. Its name comes from a replica of the Eiffel Tower on a factory roof on an industrial estate next to the A9 autobahn. Luna knows she has to leave her home, the dead-end part-time jobs and a relationship which has about as much going for it as the local market. And that's not a lot. With the arrival of the mysterious dancer G. in the small town, life in the place is suddenly shaken up his erotic vibes and moves. Luna finds herself in love with G. who is different to her childhood sweetheart Ron. G. is the first one to recognize her talent and together they start rehearsing at the "Pink Palace", a huge disco, for an audition for a dance contest in Berlin. If they win, they could end up starring in a music video. With the support of G., with whom she's falling deeper in love..

Three actors - Lizzy, Marlon, and Ohboy - navigate city life between rehearsals, nightlife, and alienation. Marlon, new to town, struggles with his role and babysitting. Lizzy chases fame yet finds only transactional glamour in a club. Ohboy, adept yet trapped, drifts comically through urban traps. Linked by rehearsals for “City as Prey,” three episodes chronicle loneliness, friendship, and survival.

Katja Sterner has to start again. Full of confidence, she follows the beckoning of her rediscovered lucky talisman to the beautiful village of Herzfeldt. Will she find happiness there? There is an old pavilion in Herzfeldt where Katja's parents once got engaged. The pavilion is said to have magical powers in matters of love, but now it is to be demolished. Katja quickly decides to offer to restore the pavilion. But she urgently needs to find a job. A few years ago, she quit her job as a restorer to care for her parents. After their death, Katja now needs a new job, but there is simply nothing available in her home town. But Katja takes a positive view of things, and so her lucky charm leads her to Herzfeldt with her few possessions.

Filmed at the Zeiss planetarium in Berlin, Musicverse features concerts accompanied by AI-generated projections in real time. Mogli, a versatile artist from Berlin, plunges the audience into a surprising psychedelic world.
