In a battle with her own mental health, film student Sara finds herself in regret of helping film an exploitative documentary on an infamously abusive, abandoned mental institution. But when Sara and the rest of the crew find themselves trapped in the decades-old, supernatural underbelly of the asylum’s otherworldly hospital unit, she finds that accepting her own struggles may be the key to escaping a fate worse than death.
The film is a science fiction love story that explores the intersection of technology and humanity, following a young woman from a future where people have suppressed their emotions as she enters a simulation of the past. There, she discovers the feelings that make us human and finds herself falling in love.
