In the Fruit Market of Macau, Ka Kit takes over his parents’ precarious business. Faced with the bad consequences of his parents’ debts over the past 30 years, Ka Kit is overwhelmed by fate; the family’s internal undercurrents and the couple’s denigration of each other make Ka Kit physically and mentally exhausted, and he is unable to cope with the situation.
Chen, a compulsive smoker, crosses paths with Keung, an overzealous security guard who sees himself as the enforcer of the no-smoking rule: a confrontation is inevitable. As Keung relentlessly hunts him down, Chen struggles to resist. An absurd, darkly comic tale blending slapstick, thriller, and fantasy elements.
