Amor e Ódio is a Brazilian telenovela produced by SBT and originally broadcast from December 10, 2001, to April 16, 2002. It is based on the Mexican telenovela La Dueña (1995), inspired by the Venezuelan telenovela La doña by Inés Rodena. Adapted by Henrique Zambelli, with text supervision by Ecila Pedroso, the telenovela stars Suzy Rêgo, Daniel Boaventura, Viétia Zangrandi, Jonas Mello, and Malu Rocha. The story follows Regina Vilanova, a kind and wealthy young woman whose life is shattered after she is betrayed by those she trusts the most. Determined to rebuild her life, she transforms into a strong and independent woman, taking control of her family's estate. As she falls in love with the honorable Rodrigo Junqueira, Regina must confront betrayal, revenge, and family conflicts while learning that forgiveness may be the only path to true happiness.

Based on the Cuban radio serial El Derecho de Nacer (1940), written by Félix B. Caignet, it was adapted by Aziz Bajur, with collaboration from Jayme Camargo and Alcione Carvalho. Directed by Roberto Talma and José Paulo Vallone, the telenovela stars Guilhermina Guinle, João Vitti, Dhu Moraes, Jorge Pontual, Ana Cecília Costa, Luiz Guilherme, Elaine Cristina, and Esther Góes. Set in Havana at the beginning of the 20th century, the story follows Maria Helena, a young woman who becomes pregnant after being abandoned by her fiancé. Afraid of her powerful father's reaction, she gives birth in secret and entrusts her son to the maid Dolores. Raised away from his family, Alberto grows up to become a doctor, unaware of his true origins. Years later, the revelation of his past brings conflicts, forgiveness, and the chance for reconciliation.

It is an adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Mi pequeña traviesa, based on the original Argentine story Me llaman Gorrión by Abel Santa Cruz. Adapted by Rogério Garcia, with collaboration from Ecila Pedroso and Simoni Boer, the telenovela stars Bianca Rinaldi and Rodrigo Veronese. The story follows Júlia, a determined young woman who is forced to put aside her dream of attending college after her father is left paralyzed in an accident. Disguising herself as a boy to find work and support her family, she secretly sleeps inside a department store because she cannot afford a place to live. There she meets Alberto, the wealthy heir to the business, and the two fall in love while facing misunderstandings, family conflicts, social differences, and the schemes of those determined to keep them apart.
