Ian moves into the Salindra family’s house to take over his father’s role as a servant. However, the work Ian performs is far from ordinary domestic labor, it is a series of strange, unsettling tasks that gradually strip him of his sense of self.
A son visited the tofu factory to see his father, who worked there. As they followed the series of steps in the tofu making process, they shared stories about dreams they had once pursued, fears they had faced, and things they had to let go of to keep life moving forward. From that conversation, the son began to see that his father’s life was no different from the tofu he made every day. Both were born from a long process, endured various pressures, and continued to change shape over time.
