Biography
Laura Kazbaraite is a Lithuanian director, screenwriter and editor working across fiction, documentary and television. She holds a MA in Semiotics from Vilnius University and a Certificate Diploma in Filmmaking from the London Film Academy. Her portfolio spans from narrative shorts and TV shows to music videos, produced in Lithuania, UK and Finland. Laura’s work is driven by a sharp eye for social dilemmas and a deep interest in the emotional and psychological undercurrents that shape human behavior. Her storytelling often navigates the blurred lines between the personal and the political, the intimate and the systemic. Laura’s television projects - including prime-time shows, multi-episode comedy and thriller series - have aired on Lithuanian national broadcaster as well as commercial channels. Her music videos have received award nominations, while her fiction films have screened at a range of international festivals.
