The authors show his ability to maneuver between creative ambitions and the political demands of the era, remaining a unique figure in cultural history. 

The cultural community's struggle to preserve the Dovzhenko Center is now an integral part of Ukrainian cinema. On Friday, February 3, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., a competition for the position of general director of the Dovzhenko Center will be held in the administrative building of the State Film Agency. Candidates will present their development programs, and the members of the competition commission will select the best candidate for the role of director of the Center. And finally, the future of the Dovzhenko Center will be decided.
