Tatort is a long-running German/Austrian/Swiss, crime television series set in various parts of these countries. The show is broadcast on the channels of ARD in Germany, ORF in Austria and SF1 in Switzerland.

The TV show is based on Purucker's radio play series Die Grandauers und ihre Zeit (‘The Grandauers and their time’). The series’ main title "Löwengrube", meaning ‘Lions’ Den’, refers to the address of the Munich Police Headquarters inaugurated in 1913.

Café Meineid is a German courtroom comedy television series based on actual cases. The series aired 147 episodes from 1990 to 2003 and ended with the death of lead actor Erich Hallhuber.

Andreas Kaiser returns to his Bavarian hometown of Schexing after around 15 years. The mayoral elections are coming up, but there is no one who wants to take over the office. Municipal treasurer Nelz and town hall manager Rosi Specht see Andreas as the ideal candidate. Inexperienced as he is, they believe they have an easy game with him. A mistake, as it soon turns out. No less stubborn than his father, farmer Ludwig Kaiser, Andreas throws himself into his work, develops unusual ideas and slowly but surely begins to turn the idyllic village upside down. Charlie escapes, leaving Nick behind. Charlie wants to escape quickly, but Nick doesn’t want to leave. Joe escapes from a mental institution and is angry that someone else is getting credit. Charlie arrives at the children’s home, but the police are already there. Inspector Fuchs believes Nick and Charlie are accomplices and has Robin watched to catch the mother. Nick saves Charlie and hides with her in the broom closet. They begin to understand each other, but a crazy day ends, and a long year lies ahead.
