The movie describes the last remaining years of the great Azerbaijani poet, Huseyn Javid who was the victim of 1937-1938 USSR repression.

Jafar, a bank employee who receives invitations to five weddings and is looking at his salary, is left in a desperate situation. The only reason is money again. Finally, an earthquake saves Jafar from these weddings. The film criticizes our unnecessary customs and traditions at weddings and funerals. Also, while watching the film, the proverb "Extend your leg according to your blanket" comes to mind.

The hero is a young artist. He wants to stay away from politics. Like every creative person, he has his own world. But the situation develops in such a way that he is forced to get involved in the events of the time. Because his closest friend is on one side of the front, and his lover is on the other...

Qurbat is a simple-minded man. His wife, Sitamkhanim, is a money-loving woman. They move into a new apartment. However, unknown people begin to bring gifts to an unknown person with the surname Azizov, a former resident of this apartment. Although Sitamkhanim is happy about this situation, Qurbat begins to worry about this forbidden wealth. And as a result, this forbidden wealth brings Qurbat's family to the danger of disintegration.
