The American boat is on its way to Gothenburg. On board are the Swedish-American millionaire Fridolf F. Johnson from Detroit (Håkan Westergren) and his male secretary of the same name (Fridolf Rhudin). The millionaire stays hidden in his cabin with the secretary and does not appear on deck. A journalist arrives out at sea by airplane and asks for an interview, which the millionaire refuses to agree to. The journalist disguises himself as a steward, puts on a hidden camera (a spy camera) in the buttonhole, enters with a tea tray and photographs the wrong person - the secretary.

Åke is employed as a singer in a revue tour and his uncle Karlsson becomes the tour bus driver.

Celestin is the singing teacher in a monastery and Denis is one of her students. They both dream about the life outside. (It's a Swedish version of the famous vaudeville-opérette "Mam'zelle Nitouche").

Daniel has been forced by his father to become a priest. After graduating, he comes to a parish in Hälsingland. During one stormy night, he seduces a young girl, Karin, and rapes her. Filled with regret, he runs out into the dark night and is struck by lightning. He loses his memory and is taken to a distant hospital to recover. Meanwhile Karin gets pregnant and has a child. Eventually Daniel comes back and when he meets Karin his memory returns.

Wholesaler Berggren's daughter Elin travels to Örebro to spend her honeymoon with her husband Efraim. They get separate rooms on the hotel and later that night she finds another woman in her husband's bed. She goes back home immediately. Her maid Lotta quits her job but when she leaves she accidentally forgets to turn off the iron. However, her brother Julle sneaks back one night to turn it off. When he is discovered, he tries to make them believe that he is the great Argentine opera singer Don Carlos they have been waiting for

The aristocratic count Hägerskiöld is very proud of his swine Helen of Troy who wins a prize every year as the best swine in the area. This year his son Claes-Ferdinand needs money to get married with Pyret, a chorus-girl. His father won't give him any so he steals the swine, expecting that his father will give a reward to anyone who can find her.

Wholesaler Pettersson ends up in the military after being mixed up with a soldier on the run, who has stolen his identity.

Two marines go AWOL and save a girl from drowning, they then sneak her aboard the ship.

A police inspector tracks a notorious jewel thief, 'Diamond-Lasse,' to a hotel filled with eccentrics.

Operetta singer Adolf Berg will be called up for military duty just as he gets assigned a major role in an operetta. On the train he meets Ulla Wern and complications occur.

After some time abroad, Bendel returns to Sweden and seeks up his old friend and business accomplice Pettersson to commit some new frauds.Follow-up to Pettersson & Bendel from 1933.

Adolph Turesson is a mild-mannered, meek college professor whose faint-heart isn't impressing the fair-lady he secretly loves, the golden-haired Britta Larsson. He dreams of the olden days and the knights, and the comely ladies of the court over whom they fought. His dream also gives all the cast the change to play a second role. Upon awakening, he proposes to Britta.

Lisa Larsson, dancer at a theater, witnesses a traffic accident and banker Brenner's private driver asks her to be a witness. When her friends see her talk to the driver, they start to believe that she is Brenner's fiancée. The manager of the theater, Gravander, gives her the leading part in his latest show, in order to befriend Brenner. It's time for conscription training outside the small town Lillköping. The bank clerk becomes an officer - the bank manager ordinary conscript. Everybody seems to be trying to get a date with Elsa, who cooks their food. Nobody takes the training seriously.
