Biography
Lee Batchler is an American screenwriter and producer known primarily for his work on Batman Forever (1995), which he co-wrote with his wife, Janet Scott Batchler. The Batchlers introduced unique elements to the Batman universe, including the character Dr. Chase Meridian, created specifically for the film. Their vision highlighted the psychological complexity of Bruce Wayne, contrasting his personas of Wayne and Batman through encounters with villains like Two-Face and The Riddler, aligning with director Joel Schumacher’s approach to the Batman franchise. In addition to Batman Forever, Batchler has contributed to various other projects, including Pompeii (2014) and The Equalizer (1985). He began his career writing for TV shows in the 1970s and has collaborated with his wife since the early 1980s
