Amici di Maria De Filippi is an Italian talent show hosted by Maria De Filippi. Amici is a singing and dancing school involving a class of about 20 students, specially chosen, with between 18 and 25 who aspire to become professional singers, songwriters and dancers. Additional original categories of "actors", "musicians" and "TV presenters" have since been dropped in the recent seasons.
Giulio is a widower, struggling to raise three sons, Marco, Rudi, and Mimmo, as best he can. He lives in Rome's working-class Garbatella neighborhood and runs a wine shop with his two brothers. Lucia, meanwhile, comes from Milan's middle-class background; she's divorced and trying to rebuild her life with her two daughters, Eva and Alice. The two meet by chance and recognize each other: they had a fling as teenagers, many years earlier. Yet first love is never forgotten, and so Giulio and Lucia find themselves together again. Their meeting, however, changes not only the lives of a man and a woman, but also those of two families as different as could be. Two families who find themselves living under the same roof without even having had the time to get to know each other well.

As the Christmas holidays approach, Don Donato, now a cardinal, is called back from Rome to assist his uncle the bishop. The latter, in fact, requires constant care.
Don Donato and company go on a trip to CinecittĂ World theme park, where Luna and Luigi have decided to spend their honeymoon. These are also important days for Gina, since she's now expecting, while Angelo, as always, is ready to look for new ways to earn easy money. Everything seems to be going well, but it's just wishful thinking.
Donato, a scoundrel music manager, to escape the two henchmen of a boss who, due to his inefficiency, has caused him to lose a lot of money, taking advantage of a letter from his uncle the bishop, introduces himself to the parish priest of a village church, Don Dino, dressed as a priest, and pretends to have been sent there by the bishop as assistant parish priest. Don Dino's church is always empty. In fact, the town's faithful frequent the new church, run by Don Gabriele, a pimp priest who knows how to deal with people. Donato's arrival initially seems like the final blow for Don Dino's church: Donato doesn't know where to start a mass, he has never confessed or married anyone, the mere idea of ​​performing an extreme unction scares him. After the news of the death of Don Dino, who was transferred to Trentino, Donato leaves to attend the funeral. When he arrives at his destination, he discovers that he has been appointed his deputy in the parish.
