In a half-empty room of a psychologist's office, a patient lies on the sofa, looking indifferent. One after another, characters appear in the room - embodiments of sins, with inscriptions on their backs: "Lust", "Wrath", "Envy", "Pride", "Sloth", "Greed". The psychologist does not see them, but, apparently, feels their presence, without admitting it to himself. He talks to himself, complaining about clogged pipes and an inattentive secretary, which, apparently, he does not have.

Four dozen of our contemporaries - and ten simple questions. And each of the forty is so different from the other that it is impossible to make a general portrait of our time from the mosaic of their answers! So what brings us together, what makes us a society and a people? Are we ready to accept others as they are?
