Biography
Blake Williams is a 26-year-old Australian filmmaker and one of the co-founders of Willow Productions. Located in Sydney, he's honed his craft through self-produced shorts, music videos, and corporate work before channelling his creative energy into narrative feature filmmaking. Known for his offbeat humour, layered characters, and self-reflexive storytelling, Blake draws inspiration from filmmakers such as Matt Johnson and Joel Haver, as well as the DIY spirit of early internet culture. His debut feature, GunBlade & Me, is a deeply personal and darkly comic exploration of ego, friendship, and the search for creative legacy. Shot with a crew of just himself and a cinematographer, the film blurs the line between documentary and fiction.
