Di Renjie is Tang dynasty magistrate and statesman, who investigates mysterious murders.

Adapted from the classical 14th century novel of the same title by Luo Guanzhong, Romance of the Three Kingdoms is part historical, part legend, and part mythical – romanticises and dramatises the lives of feudal lords and their retainers, who tried to replace the dwindling Han dynasty or restore it. The focus is mainly on the three power blocs that emerged from the remnants of the Han dynasty, and would eventually form the three states of Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Eastern Wu.

In 1375, China was in chaos between Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty. Coryo (an ancient kingdom of Korea then) sent a delegation of many diplomats, soldiers and a silent slave to make peace with the new Chinese government. However, this delegation got charged as spies and sent in exile to a remote desert.

In 1960, due to natural disasters, three thousand southern orphans were sent to the grasslands of Inner Mongolia and adopted by Mongolian adoptive parents. With a different life destiny and more than 50 years of life experience, some of them have become wealthy businessmen, some have become government officials who care about the grasslands, some have a kind heart to practice medicine and save people, and some have experienced. Marooned on the far side of the world, Polo, accompanied by his servant, Pedro, advances as a Mongol grandee for twenty extraordinary years. What he eventually brings back with him to the West is a chronicle that changed history forever.
