Spoed is a Belgian action drama TV series produced in the Dutch language in Belgium since 2000. The series is also shown on both Flemish/Belgian TV and Dutch TV. The series is directed by Johan Thiels and Guy Thys. The series has produced 217 episodes to date. It may be compared to the American TV programs ER or Chicago Hope.

The story of five underdogs, meeting by chance during a quiz in a local pub. They get the idea of taking part in the "Superprestige", the most important quiz. The selection procedure turns out to be difficult, requiring more than just knowledge. There's even more at stake than the five had in mind. A scientist makes a discovery that allows him to send emails back in time, but meddling with his past may not give him the future he wants.

Lucien Knops (Nand Buyl) is a grumpy old man. When his wife passes away, he moves in with his daughter Gerda. It doesn't take long before tensions rise and Lucien moves back into his old house, claiming that his new lover will move in with him. Gerda is worried that she will miss out on her father's inheritance; even more so when an interesting new woman moves in next door to Lucien.
