Tuncel Kurtiz is an international actor who has worked in various countries such as Turkey, Germany, and Sweden throughout his fifty-year career. He has starred in countless works in cinema, stage and television and has received many awards, including the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. He has directed two documentaries and a feature-length fiction film. Kurtiz's acting performance ranges from popular melodramas to major plays such as Mahabharata (Peter Brook), encompassing many different genres and styles. Remake of a well-known Turkish musical comedy loved by generations, the film is about the adventures of flirtatious Hurmuz in late 1800's Istanbul. Hurmuz who lives in Taskasap, Istanbul has six husbands in a plot to solve her economic problems. She arranges to meet each of her husbands one day of the week. However, suddenly, she falls in love with the town's doctor whom she meets at her husband's barber shop. The doctor falls in love with her too... But, one night all six husbands come home at the same time, and Hurmuz and Safinaz - Hurmuz's "go-between/accomplice/friend" - find themselves in a series of very awkward yet funny situations.

However, once the drums and flutes start playing, they stop fighting and start dancing... The Gypsy women are very troubled by their husbands... Bayram, Güllü's husband, is useless except for chasing after women, Sabahat's husband Münir is useless except for drinking himself into a stupor in taverns, and Bekir is useless except for gambling away their money. Güllü also has her share of admirers. Especially the boss, Deli Ömer, is deeply infatuated with her. One day, Sabahat loses her temper and kicks Münir, Bayram, Sevim, and Rabiş out of the house.
