Dato Khakhidze

War in Abkhazia, 1992. An Estonian man Ivo has stayed behind to harvest his crops of tangerines. In a bloody conflict at his door, a wounded man is left behind, and Ivo is forced to take him in.

Architect David Mikeladze is wanted by the Soviet Security Committee for arrest. He manages to move to Turkey and starts a new life there, creating a second family. After Georgia gains independence, David Mikeladze returns to his homeland and dies there, as his family was told, of a heart attack. Years later, his son arrives in Georgia, finds his half-brother, and learns the true cause of his father's death.

A man is released from jail and sets out to settle unfinished business.

The film is about a person who feels like a “passerby” in life and tries to find their place.
