Back in the era of Empress Himiko, Japan was ruled from the shadows by a secret chaste of shamans called Kidō (鬼道). Although they were exterminated by fear of their power, some of them survived through the centuries, hoping to recover their power by summoning the Four Holy Beasts in human bodies. Their last attempt, performed by esotericists in the Mount Koya, was stopped in 1971 by one of their own creations, a monk with the power of Genbu named Gendo.

As the perpetually lecherous Ataru and his friends prepare for a carnival at Tomobiki High School, they gradually realize the days are literally repeating themselves. Any effort to break the pattern dumps them back where they started.

Kamille Bidan, a civilian student, gets entangled in this conflict when he impulsively steals the Gundam Mark II and joins the AEUG, running away from his home space colony. Then he begins to fight along with Char Aznable, a former Zeon ace pilot who has infiltrated the Earth Sphere for reasons of his own. This is the first part of the feature trilogy derived from the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, and features enhanced animation and theme songs by GACKT.

Among the 5 star systems known as the Joker Systems, there are many kingdoms. There are knights within the kingdoms and these knights who control giant robots, Mortar Heads, are called Headliners. Bound to the knights are fatimas. Human in appearance and mind, the fatimas (mostly female) possess expanded physical capabilities and make it possible for a Headliner to control a Mortar Head. Fatimas cannot reproduce. All this is overseen by Emperor Amaterasu and his Mirage Knights.

Ōkiku naru Ko (大きくなる子 Children growing up) was an educational Japanese show, produced by Studio Nova, that aired on NHK through April 7th, 1959, to March 18th, 1988. It was created for 1st and 2nd-year primary school students in Japan, teaching them lessons like morals and how to act at school. The show is more notable for the Monkey Puppet meme portrayed by the main protagonist Pedro.[1] In the 1980s and 1990s, the series was also aired in Latin America under the name "Niños en crecimiento". This was the penultimate season of the show, airing from April 13th, 1984, to April 4th, 1986, in Japan.[2]
