Biography
Ronan Westray Bird (born April 30th, 2009) is an aspiring, English film writer and director. Whilst he remains unknown to the public he has directed several short films, varying in genres from Horror to Western. His directing debut was an Evil Dead - inspired Horror film called 'ABHORRENT: The Swamp' (2023), starring friends and his brother, Cailan Bird. He has sighted his main inspirations to film-making being John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Eli Roth and David Lynch amongst others. He also stated that his favourite film of all time is Jim Henson's 'Labyrinth' (1986).

36 years after a local tragedy, a small group of teens accidently awaken an ancient evil in a seemingly abandoned swamp. They must now attempt to escape as the evil picks them off one by one, in an homage to 70's Grindhouse and Exploitation Cinema (But mostly 'Evil Dead').

A disparaged cowboy faces various evils on a journey... In The Search of Vengeance against a ruthless psychopath responsible for the death of his friend years before. The film contains various ultimately, unused shots from the original shoot of the film. Director, Ronan Bird never finished the film, but was able to hold onto the footage as a memory. Filmed in 2024 but released in 2025.
