Ultimately, it would be the growing popularity and increased necessity of The Mixtapes created by DJ’s that would serve as the lifeline to Hip Hop, as it grew into the most celebrated art form.

Beef III is the third installment of the Beef series. It is a documentary about Hip hop rivalries and beefs (arguments). It was released on DVD on November 15, 2005. It was directed by Peter Spirer and lasts approximately 85 minutes. It was narrated by DJ Kay Slay and scored by Nu Jerzey Devil. The next film in the series is called Beef IV.

Mixtapes have an out-sized role in the emergence of hip hop around the world. Before radio play, the internet, and social media, there were mixtapes.
