Biography
Loken Charon (Logan Charron) is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, and editor. He is known for the multi-award winning short film Moshpit, Devil Makes Three, and co-creator of TV pilot Surface of Blood. Loken started his filmmaking journey in 2021 with his folk horror short film "Sanction" which premiered at the Montreal Independent Film Festival, garnering an Honorable Mention by the festival. He is an alumni of the Run N' Gun 48 Hour Film Competition in Vancouver, BC, reaching Top 40 out of 150 films in 2024. Loken founded the production company Dark River Studios which has produced several works in the horror genre. Dark River picture "Devil Makes Three" has been nominated for Best Fraser Valley Film by the Chilliwack Independent Film Festival, and took home the Best Ensemble Award at the Vancouver Badass Festival in 2024. Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, Loken has a certificate in video production from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Loken's background in film editing inspires his visionary directing style. Loken finds his main inspirations throughout his broad musical taste which he develops stories and visions from.
