A Saudi adaptation of the acclaimed Japanese drama Mother, following teacher Maryam who discovers her young student Basma is suffering abuse at the hands of her addict stepfather and neglectful mother. As the lives of five very different mothers interweave, Maryam makes a life-changing decision to protect the child — setting off a chain of consequences none of them can escape.

The Saudi family is following strict instructions from their grandfather to remain confined in the desert during the early 1990s. A series of events shakes the family's foundation and they find them in a struggle between life and death.
