Two young friends get ready together for a party, but find themselves challenged by the expectations of others.

A man driven to despair spends the last night of his life looking for some meaning in a city which has become alien to him. As he struggles to hold on to the last remaining threads of his dying marriage he seeks to lose himself to the darkness of the night finding solace on the streets of the city.

A documentary essay which takes a very personal and idiosyncratic journey through Scottish history and identity, from the reformation of John Knox to the present day via the Industrial Revolution.
