In the Occupied West Bank in Palestine of the 1980s, a Palestinian teenager is swept into a protest that changes the course of his family's life. Reeling from its aftermath, his mother, Hanan, shares the story that led them to that fateful moment. Spanning seven decades, this epic drama traces the hopes and heartaches of one uprooted family, revealing not only the scars of ethnic cleansing, but the unbreakable spirit of survival.

One Street in Silwan tells the story of "Batan al-Hawa" Street (East Jerusalem), which overlooks the Temple Mount and serves as a microcosm of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On one side of the street, live Israeli settlers in a house once belonging to an evicted Palestinian family. On the other side, a Palestinian family faces eviction, alongside 750 of theneighborhood’s residents , with the purpose of establishing more settlements. Told in segments through the perspectives of children and residents, the film sheds light on the chaotic realities of life on the street.

A busy intersection is where Sila, a Palestinian girl, has staked her claim, selling candy to passing motorists. That’s until Yusuf, also her age, starts cutting in on her business. Unexpectedly, a bond develops between the two.
