From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Atossa Leoni is an actress who has been working internationally in film, television and theater since childhood. Of Iranian descent, Atossa was born in Berlin, Germany, raised in various countries throughout Europe and schooled in the United States. She is fluent in five languages and currently resides in Los Angeles.[1] Atossa made her American screen debut starring as Soraya, the female lead in the film adaptation of The Kite Runner. The film is based on Khaled Hosseini's best-selling novel, which remained on The New York Times best-seller list for over 124 weeks. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Marc Forster, the film has already received praise from critics and fans alike and is proving to be a major awards contender. Atossa was seen in the critically praised America So Beautiful. The film, which also starred Academy Award nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo, followed a group of immigrants in Los Angeles during the unfolding of the 1979 Iran hostage crises. America So Beautiful was recognized at the Marrakech International Film Festival in 2002 and was in competition in the Panorama Section of the 2002 Berlin Film Festival. She lent her voice to narrate the audiobook version of Khaled Hosseinis A Thousand Splendid Suns and Greg Mortenson's Three Cups of Tea, which are both best-selling books around the world. Eyes is an ABC television series starring Tim Daly as Harlan Judd. Eyes follows the firm of Judd Risk Management which uses marginally legal means to investigate individuals and crimes where law enforcement would fall short. With the help of high-tech gadgets, Harlan Judd and his employees recover money for victims as well as investigate individuals for clients but still manage to keep plenty of secrets from one another. In May 2005, having rescheduled the sixth episode twice, ABC announced that they would not be airing the remaining episodes until June at the earliest. They later announced that it would not be picked up for a second season and that the remaining episodes would remain unaired. New Zealand television station TV2 picked up this show and aired the complete series, all twelve episodes, in the second half of 2005. These episodes appeared online via BitTorrent soon after. The show was also partially aired on Singapore television station Mediacorp Channel 5, with the pilot episode and episodes #106 to #112 being skipped. Episode #111 was an exception, and was aired as the fifth episode. The show was also aired in full on France cable television station Canal Jimmy in 2006. In the beginning of 2008 the show was aired in full on Polish television station TVN 7. The series was shown on the Nine Network in Australia in 2007.

Based on a true story, American Marine Jason Johnson is sent on assignment to the Emirate of Bahrain. While there, he meets and falls in love with a spirited, lovely young woman, Meriam, without realizing she is really a member of the Bahraini Royal Family. Meriam, who does not wish to consent to an arranged marriage, knows her love affair with Jason is dangerous, as he is a Mormon Christian and she a Muslim. Her parents would never consent to their match, and so Meriam and Jason race against time to escape Bahrain and make it to the United States, where they can marry. If Meriam is sent back, however, her life may be in jeopardy.
