Vyacheslav Tretyakov is a superstar of modern Russian cinema. The perfect picture is spoiled only by a devastating review of his latest film from the blogger-film critic Nikita Kislyak. Tretyakov tries to force Kislyak to delete the video, but instead arranges a public fight. To restore her reputation and avoid trial, the star will have to fulfill the condition of the hated film critic — forgetting about pride and large contracts, play the main role in an unknown provincial theater.

An animator named Luka lives with his grandmother in the center of St. Petersburg. He huddles in a tiny but cozy attic and tries not to lose heart, making ends meet with earnings from roles in crowd scenes and performances at children's parties. He finds no time for himself or his loved ones, moving from one business meeting to another. However, time stops when, on the eve of his birthday, Alexey learns of his fatal diagnosis. The lives of both men take a different turn after their meeting.
