Three octogenarian friends: Libaniel, Ramiro and José Heliodoro, who in their youth were bohemian artists, decide to meet again after decades to put on their last play. The three now face memories, years, illness and oblivion.

A group of Afro-Ecuadorian women, leaders from the Yurumanguí River, gather to perform a Theater-Memory exercise. The play they create tells the story of Rómula, a woman who fought against slavery during colonization. However, now more than ever, it also speaks to the present and their current struggles surrounding the armed conflict in their territory.
