Jade Magno McGovern is a New York-born filmmaker and theatre artist now based in Chicago, Illinois. She is known for her roles in writing, directing, producing, and lighting design for various forms of media such as narrative short films, music videos, devised plays, original musicals, and more. Her style accentuates the Asian-American experience and the psychology of the female mind with an experimental flair. Actively wanting to center and advance the voice of the living writer, in 2022, Jade founded Poor George Productions. Since then, she has collaborated with over a hundred other artists in pursuit to produce work written by living writers.
