A newly appointed high school teacher begins her job hoping for a fresh start, but her life takes an unsettling turn when a troubled student becomes fixated on her. The focus is on the Gotland investigation team led by Inspector Robert Anders, who originally comes from Germany, his assistants Karin Jacobson and Thomas Wittberg, and the pathologist Ewa, played by Pippi Longstocking actress Inger Nilsson.
