Documentary on Rosamaria Murtinho and Mauro Mendonça’s 60-year long career in Brazilian theater, film and television. The film not only runs through the career of these artists, but also paints a portrait of a generation that rose alongside them and that works with art till this day.

A sound and visual journey that portrays the life and work of singer and composer Luiz Melodia. The Poet of Estácio himself tells us, in the first person, his trajectory as a black boy born on the hill until his transformation into one of the greatest artists in the history of MPB. The film also features an unpublished collection made available by Jane Reis, his wife and businesswoman.

Through testimonies from partners, workers, collaborators, artists, and people who followed the productions of Lira Paulistana, the film tells the story of this cultural phenomenon, a catalyst for the new musical trends of the time, which took place in São Paulo between 1979 and 1986. In addition to showcasing the undeniable importance of Lira Paulistana as a stage for avant-garde music in São Paulo, highlights its significant role in other areas, such as record production, journalism, editorial work, and the visual arts.

Maurício Kubrusly no longer recognizes who he once was. Beatriz, his wife, is the only name that remains. She guides our meeting with a new Kubrusly, and together, they always pick something to play.
