This is the 11th of "Schulmädchen" movies and core issues this time is protection of young people and helping them in dangerous or critical situations.

The film follows Kaspar Hauser, who lived the first seventeen years of his life chained in a tiny cellar with only a toy horse to occupy his time, devoid of all human contact except for a man who wears a black overcoat and top hat who feeds him.

Fourteen-year-old Kathi Lehner has been growing up with her father Robert and grandmother Hedwig since the death of her mother. Her neighbor is the elderly coachman Butzbichler and his horse Dublin. When Butzbichler has to go to the hospital after a traffic accident, Dublin is to be slaughtered. Kathi and her grandmother decide to buy the horse. They find a new home for the four-legged friend - at least until they can sell Dublin again. But then everything turns out quite differently.

Lulu models for a young painter who tries to seduce her. When her husband enters the room he dies from a heart attack. Lulu marries the painter, who commits suicide when he finds out that she has been having a long standing affair with Dr Schon and whose son gives her a job. Lulu kills Dr Schon and goes to London to live with his son. Eventually, she becomes a prostitute and dies a victim of Jack the Ripper.

Geiersberg Castle in Spessart is a popular hotel for married couples and lovers. The buxom landlady isn't averse to anything and even the quirky valet Beppo takes what he can get. Peter Kolle, a low-level clerk, and his wife Sabine have a happy marriage, but Peter lacks the necessary funds. Therefore, he secretly works on his invention at a friend's house at night. When his wife finds out, she angrily leaves their apartment and travels to Berlin to see her brother Alphons, to whom Peter had promised at their wedding that he would give up on the invention and to whom he had therefore given all the paperwork. Soon, they both long for each other again: Sabine travels home, Peter to Berlin. And eventually, they meet.
