In a medieval Dutch village, a young woman is caught between her faith, fanatic townsfolk and the dark forces lurking in the woods.

When caregiver Noor is offered her dream job as a chef in Paris, she can no longer care for her father Musa, who suffers from dementia. In response, she helps him migrate to Morocco, which causes resistance among the rest of the family.

In "The New Gabbers" we follow three young gabbers in the run-up to hardcore festival Ground Zero in the Netherlands. The documentary paints a picture of the lively hardcore subculture through the personal stories of these 'new gabbers'.

To call attention to the climate crisis, 12-year-old Nora plans to throw tomato soup over a 19th century painting. After talking to the long-deceased artist who made the painting, doubt strikes.

Sound designer, filmmaker and hardcore raver Dennis van Rijswijk and his producer, music journalist Holly Dicker, bring a documentary homage to the dance scene in Rotterdam during and since the 90s gabber boom. Filled with nostalgia-inducing archival materials and intimate interviews with DJs, party organisers and ravers alike, the film takes a deep dive in what made the Rotterdam scene so unique. While celebrating the highlights of hardcore’s infamous history, this passionate film also explores how the scene has progressed and reshaped itself in a post-pandemic cultural landscape.
