A group of four friends come together to write a screenplay about four screenwriters writing a screenplay (and so on) during the Military Dictatorship in Brazil. During the meeting, they exchange experiences and opinions on art as a form of resistance, for "Construção" is a metalinguistic ode to cinema.
Rafaela, a 19-year-old transgender girl, finds herself torn between two identities: Rafaela, the woman she sees herself as, and Daniel, the man those around her perceive her as. While navigating her college life and engaging with friends and a romantic interest, this dissonance generates increasing internal confusion, leading her to question who she truly is and how she wants to be percieved.
Amid family arguments and unspoken tensions, Ângelo, a 20-year-old young man, faces prejudice at home while seeking his true identity. In the midst of chaos, a symbolic act transforms pain into rebirth.
