Daphne, 14, feels uncomfortable in her own skin. While at the swimming pool, her worst nightmare, she has an unexpected encounter that encourages her to free herself from the gaze of others.

It's still dark when a grandmother and her granddaughter drive from the city to the forest. The anxious granddaughter guides her whimsical grandmother through the woods to a clearing where the canvas of a hot-air balloon is spread out. Between reality and memory, they prepare to say goodbye.
