Biography
Matthew Hogan was born 29th November 2006 in Limerick Ireland and is currently studying for a Bachelor’s in Art and History at MIA. He began his journey in the arts when he was brought on as an extra for the short film ‘A Swan Song’, by filmmaker Jonty Ross. From there, Matthew spent a year in the Limerick School of Acting, under Nigel Mercier, appeared in ‘The Addams Family Musical’ in the Lime-tree Theatre, playing Lurch, and worked on several other local productions alongside Ross and his film group, Visionary Films Ireland. Matthew had come from a rough childhood and fell into a spell of depression and drug addiction, following the end of his school years. In 2026, Matthew became a father at the young age of 19. In the summer of 2026, Matthew was able to turn his life around, overcoming his addictions and is now working as a registered bartender. He is looking to return to the film industry, having last worked in 2025.
