When assumptions omit all communication, ambiguity becomes deadly.
As summer vacation draws to a close, a mute girl meets and joins a group of idealistic friends during one last farewell party before most of them head off to study abroad. Those left behind don't know what to do with their lives and decide to continue their party lifestyle by robbing the rich and partying with their money, without weapons or violence. Unfortunately, every party must come to an end.
After the younger brother of one of them accidentally grabbed the wrong bag thinking it was his friend’s birthday present, two small-time dealers find themselves owing a dangerous local kingpin a large sum of money. They now have very little time to pay him back… and a whole lot of trouble coming their way.
A man lacks self-confidence and is increasingly afraid of seeing the woman he loves move away when he looks to the future. One day, while running in the mangroves, he finds a mysterious bag. A woman looks to the past to understand the wrong turn their relationship may have taken. Two couples are confronted between fantasies, memories and reality with their fascination for a mechanical object that works by combustion. This object is the origin of a fire that stimulates them as much as it could destroy them.
Jules tries to get to his job interview.
Jules and Nash, two young friends from disadvantaged neighborhoods, take divergent paths in life as they grow up, becoming mirror images of each other. One spirals into a life of crime and violence, while the other struggles with odd jobs but is determined to find solutions to help young people, like himself, to escape their circumstances. Fire, like an ever-present guardian, will play a significant role in both their lives, positively and negatively.
