August 1922. An American journalist, Jerry Thompson, travels to the Soviet Union and arrives in Azerbaijan. He visits the settlement of Mardakan in Baku. There, he meets an elderly man at a villa. Thompson can hardly believe what he hears. Standing before him is Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev, a once-great oil producer, millionaire, and philanthropist who lost all his wealth after the establishment of Soviet rule. Haji recounts his life story to the guest, a journey that saw him rise from a humble mason to an influential oil industrialist.

The story takes place on an island where a series of murders occur. The main character is a police officer who fights to uncover the truth behind these crimes.

It tells the story of Atabey Shamsaddin Eldaniz, the founder of the Atabey state, a historical state that ruled Azerbaijan, eastern Anatolia, northern Iraq, Iran, and the Caucasus from 1136 to 1225, and the life of Qara Sungur, the first great atabey of Azerbaijan.

Syama and her friends are scammers. But why do we love them? Because they donate the money they earn through fraud to people with serious illnesses. But what did they know that one day they would need this money themselves. Both friends and the angel of death will rush to meet with Syama.

The film highlights the lives and deeds of Azerbaijani atabegs Shams ad-Din Eldeniz and Kara Sungur, who played a key role in strengthening the state in the 12th century. Shams ad-Din Eldeniz, the first great atabeg of Azerbaijan, leads successful campaigns, reclaiming territories and uniting the country under his rule. Kara Sungur, the ruler of Aran, engages in political intrigues and military campaigns to protect his lands and influence the sultanate. The film depicts their struggle for power, military achievements, and complex relations with allies and enemies.
